one of the things i like best about avatar is how incredibly validating it is like “stuff” isn’t just ever stuff.
when sokka says “i do believe in the power of stuff.” —
it’s a true thing.
and his words are proven true by the narrative as “”stuff”” validates the avatar—
at first when sokka and katara are looking at kyoshi’s things they are just memorabelia, relics — but no, they are still kyoshi’s and they are the avatar’s and they might be her stuff but it isn’t just “”stuff”” and they are relevant and they still have meaning and they still speak truth
