Listen. This Arthur is related to bbc’s merlin. In BBC’s merlin, guinevere is represented or portrayed by a POC. If you try to change her or white-wash her by fancasting, don’t get upset when POC take offense to that. Because bbc’s arthur is associated with bbc’s gwen, so if you’re going to fancast them make sure you don’t change any character or their physical representation. Just like you kept Arthur because you like him, all you could’ve done was change gwen’s story arch and personality, not physical appearance. 

Now on to white-washing. You cannot take a character of POC and turn them into a nonPOC, it is offensive, because you are turning them into a person of privileged, and since you’re privileged, it makes people think you cannot identify with a POC, because you turned a POC into something you identify with. 

If you’re going to fancast A/G make sure you don’t turn gwen into a person of privileged, and if you want to, make sure your guinevere doesn’t associate with BBC’s merlin. 
I hope you understand, and I just loss so much respect for you since you tried to pretend to be a black person to justify why you thought it was okay to white-washed gwen. you have been put on blast!

So, them being Black (which I doubt) means it’s ok to replace the ONE woman of color on the show in the most transparently racist way possible? Umm, internalized oppression is a THING. Look it up. 

Also, they say show!Gwen is weak and insipid, but I haven’t seen anything in her white!Guinevere that convinces me she’s strong or cool. Her father died and she has an uncertain position in life? Sounds familiar….oh wait, except the Gwen from the show, yknow the brown-skinned girl whom they just can’t bear to think about, went through the exact same shit WITHOUT THE BENEFIT OF BEING WHITE AND PRIVILEGED.
