So decided to look this movie up on IMDB and got hit in the fact with the most racist drivel ever. Firstly, the synopsis starts:

“In this Rogers & Hammerstein musical version of the classical fairy tale, where only the genetic miscasting surpasses the implausibility of most colors and sets..”.

AND the top-rated comments thread starts off thus:

“ This came on Disney Channel the other night and I found it sooo ludicrous how they were trying to be with the PC theme.I mean it was stupid and obvious that all they were doing with this particular production was try and see how many different races and cultures they could fit together..lets see,a white mom,a white stepsister,a black stepsister(Cinderella)another black stepsister,a black queen and a white king that had an Asian son!!!! I couldnt watch past the ball scene,because it was so sugar coated with the politically correct message being shoved down my throat...UGH…this movie shames the original classic. ”

This is why we can’t have more POC in media. Because white people freak the fuck out when they see POC in anything other than subservient/stereotypical roles. FUCK those reviewers.
