Please get over it. Europe is not yours, we do not want our blood to mix with yours and we can go on happily without mixing so long as you take your whining and leave.

I just want to point out a couple of things for my followers.

The person who posted the above rant is an actual honest-to-badness Neo-Nazi. They’ve got pictures up on their blog fawning over Rudolf Hess and Hitler and such.

And the above rant is what they believe. It’s also what an awful lot of people who like to think of themselves as “not racist, but…” believe when they talk about how it’s not “realistic” to have Black people in Scotland or Germany or Scandinavia in fantastical pseudohistorical epics, or to have any diversity in “medieval fantasy” worlds that bear only the most superficial resemblance to real earth history anyway.

This view is not historically accurate, but even more than that, it’s the result of white supremacist attitudes and the white-washing of the historical record. 

If you think a Black man playing James Bond or The Doctor or a knight of the round table would be an affront to Britishness, if you think having Black characters in D&D-esque fantasy settings amounts to “political correctness run wild”… this is the company you’re keeping. You are literally repeating Nazi propaganda.

OK, listen up. Here’ why we usually generalize “White People” when we discuss racism.

 Yes, obviously it’s only a number of White People who actively engage in doing the fucked up shit that most people recognize as racism. 

But then there are the ones who just stand there and watch….

And then there are the ones who stand there and cheer….

And then there are the ones who shake their head and say “someone should do something about that!” and then walk away….

And then there are the ones who cave into peer pressure and join in….

And then there are the ones pay lip service…but are still just standing there. 

And then there are the ones who get mad at you for being hurt….

And there are the ones who laugh at you for expressing your pain….

And the ones who blame you for being hurt in the first place….

And then there are the ones who punish you for trying to stop it….

At the end of the day, so many of you have become so complacent that we hold you just as accountable as the one primarily causing the harm, and rightfully so. 

If you’re a beneficiary, you’re a perpetrator, especially if you do nothing to change.

Whether you want to admit it or not.

And what I think is funny is American popular music BEGAN with minstrel songs… where Whites used to where Blackface and pretend to be Black. 

So literally, American music at its birth was Whites poorly imitating Black people.

 & then people wanna be like

Not so gentle reminder that without Black folks the US would have no musical legacy to speak of.
